Our Mandate
The Calgary Chinese Union Association has six key scopes that make up our mandate and guide the actions of our projects and events

1. Provide a platform for mutual assistance to collaborate and promote the development of the livelihood and welfare of the Chinese community.
2. Safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the Chinese endowed by the Bill of Rights.
3. When members of the Chinese community suffered unfair or discriminatory treatment that violates the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, lead the Chinese community to speak out and defend their rights.
4. Encourage the Chinese-Canadians to pay attention to Canadian politics, actively participate in politics, and vote in elections, so as to safeguard the overall interests of the Chinese.
5. Promote the unity of the Chinese community, safeguard the human rights, education, and health of the Chinese community in Calgary, and maintain contact and friendly cooperation among various Chinese groups. Encourage the Chinese-Canadians to actively participate in the activities of community to promote the human rights and political rights of the Chinese in Canada.
6. Encourage the Chinese to contribute their talents in various fields such as politics, economy, technology, culture, and sports, and create a fair, dignified, and free living environment for future generations.
